Trade Alert – Dividend Equity Model Only

We were stopped out of our position in Leggett and Platt (LEG) following disappointing earnings guidance from the company. The company is in a tough spot with products that correlate highly to home buyers. We are doing further analysis on this company on Friday. The company has grown its dividend for 52 years, which is why it was in the portfolio, but with recent debt downgrades, and a 9% yield, the dividend has a higher than normal risk of being cut.

We are going to step aside for now and evaluate the company. We will look to redeploy that capital elsewhere in the portfolio for now.
